Sustainibility
Rossa: homemade soaps
Women in rural Caraíva producing homemade soaps using native plants.
The goal is to make these women able to contribute to family income, without having to leave the responsibilities of home. The project allows them to pass only four hours a day in production, the rest of the time being avalaible for housework.
The soaps are made of Almescar, Pitanga, Aroeira, Coconut oil, Dende Palm oil and Palm oil and are sold in shops and hotels in the Caraíva region. The profit is fully reverted to the continuity and maintenance of the project which can therefore employ more women.
